I’ve been reading through Worship: A Way of Life by Patrick Kavanaugh. I read his Spiritual Lives of Great Composers years ago back in college. This book is a few years old, so I picked it up super cheap at a local resale bookstore. So far, it’s been an easy read, and hasn’t said anything I didn’t already know, but it is nice to hear the same concepts put in different ways. I recommend the book to those of you who have any part in leading worship or who worship privately. (Wait, isn’t that pretty much every believer?)
I can sum up the book very easily with a quote from the always insightful A.W. Tozer:

“If you do not worship God seven days a week, you do not worship Him on one day a week. There is no such thing known in heaven as Sunday worship unless it is accompanied by Monday worship and Tuesday worship and so on.”
