Free for all Friday, Music, Resources

Free for all Friday #1

Here’s my first installment of weekly freebies to enhance your ministry and personal life. Some may be familiar to you, but I hope to bring a variety a resources to your attention.

If you know of any great freebies out there not featured here, let me know, and I’ll feature them on a future posting.

Music:

My Free Music Friday: Nothing seems to be up this week, but when they have new offers, they’re always good. I’ve added two or three new artists to my iPod in recent months. Bookmark it and check back every week. Better yet, sign-up for the email updates.

New Release Tuesday: Keep abreast of the latest music coming out, get news about your favorite artists, and get free downloads of selected music.

Music and More Music Friday: The latest edition of free music featured by colossiansthreesixteen.com.

Written Word:

YouVersion: The online collaborative Bible from lifechurch.tv. Conduct Bible study online, journal your own commentary, add/link to relevant resources. Your ability to study the Scripture is unleashed. (HT: flowerdust.net)

The Worshiper: A quarterly periodical from Worship Leader Magazine that can be used as a bulletin insert or some other kind of takeaway. The Worshiper can help foster the dialog on worship beyond the weekly gathering. No exactly free, you have to pay $25 per case for shipping, but well worth the cost.

Graphics:

wallpapr: Still in beta, but a great resource which allows you to search through flickr’s wallpapers pool using specific keywords. I often find great background for use in Sunday Plus and Media Shout for our gatherings.

Church Marketing Lab: Another offering via flickr, a group of church folks pooling resources together to share with one another. Even if you don’t find something you can use right away, just perusing the site will spur your creativity. (HT: transitionpete.org)

That’s a wrap for this week. Happy downloading.
