Here’s installment #2 of weekly freebies to enhance your ministry and personal life. Just as with last week, some may not be new to you, and may have been seen recently elsewhere. But hey, they’re free!
If you know of any great freebies out there not featured here, let me know, and I’ll feature them on a future posting.
Music & Media:
SeeqPod is the playable music search you’ve been looking for. Search for mp3 files, and discover new music. SeeqPod is still in beta, but has worked very successfully. If you download, do so responsibly.
ShareSong: Are you always looking for new and unique music either for your church or for your iPod? Check out ShareSong.org. Download mp3s, leadsheets, MIDI files, and chord charts for free. Some music available is better than others, but try it out yourself.
Written Word:
Grab your own free copy of unChristian by Kinnaman and Lyons while supplies last. Offered via Barna Research.
Project Gutenberg: Search through thousands of year’s worth of history and literature, and download them directly to your computer or PDA. Why buy classics at the bookstore when you can download them legally for free?
Graphics:
Vecteezy: Looking for quality vector art for illustrations and have no money to spend? Vecteezy is a directory of high quality vector objects available for free download. The selection is small, but growing. A new header graphic created using this resource will make its debut here soon.
stock.xchng: Quality amateur photographs available for free. Get involved in the community, and upload your own.
Color Fields Color Pickr: Looking for a photo or background in a particular shade or tint? Check out the Color Fields Color Pickr. It uses a classic style color wheel to search the Flickr public pool.
That’s a wrap for this week. Happy downloading.
