Like many people, I’m doing one of those “read through the Bible in a year” plans. I’m about a month off compared to most people, and my “new year” just started this last Sunday.
I love where the Bible starts, don’t you? It’s just God in all His power and glory and the Scripture says, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Gen. 1:1)
I’ve read or heard that verse probably thousands of times during my life, but I’m trying out the spiritual discipline of Meditation (since we’re focusing on the Disciplines this year at our church.) That’s when I’ve heard a still small voice saying to me, “I (the LORD) am the Source and Well for all creativity. Do you need a creative boost? Talk to Me. I started it all, and I’ve still got some really great ideas left.”
