- Numbers 1 = If you’ve never read Numbers, it’s very appropriately named. Long story short, 603,550 men over age 20 of fighting ability escaped from Egypt. Add to this the estimate of women, children and aged men, plus the non-Israelites in train and the as yet to be numbered Levites, it is likely well over 1.5 million slaves were released from bondage!

- Numbers 5:16-31 = An adulterous woman is cursed and made infertile.
- Numbers 6 = Nazarite vow: no alcohol, no vinegar, no “fresh” grape juice, no raisins or grapes, no haircuts, no going near dead bodies. There doesn’t seen to be any point to the vow beyond an act of worship and service to God via setting oneself apart.
- Numbers 6:24-26 = The blessing of Aaron is really great. I love hearing Louie speak about this passage.
- Numbers 7 = those were some nice offerings. Good to see they didn’t try to out-do one another.
- Numbers 7:80 = The voice of the Lord.
- Numbers 8 = The entire tribe of Levi was set aside as a special offering to the Lord. A literal “living sacrifice.”
- Numbers 8:16-17 = The Levites were a substitutionary sacrifice in place of Israel’s firstborn. The Lord claimed the firstborn on the night of Passover.

- Mark 13:14 = foretelling 70 AD again
- Mark 13:15-20 = whereas this can’t be 70 AD
- Mark 13:26-27 = this challenges the rapture theory
- Mark 13:30 = the generation who sees it
- Mark 13:32 = something Jesus doesn’t know, only the Father
- Mark 14:3-5 = hypocrites use “I care for the poor” to make themselves look religious.
