This week on The Monday Minute, share your earliest memory. What’s the oldest memory you have?
For me, it goes back to my first two years of life. I spent must of that time in and out of the hospital because of severe anemia and other medical conditions.
In my earliest memory, I remember my sister coming to visit me after her wedding. I don’t remember any detail of the visit itself, but I do remember standing at the door of my hospital room, waving down the hallway as she ventured off to her honeymoon.

Remembering when my mom left me and my brother when I was 4. That was the last time I saw her.

My brother and I were sitting on his bed, sick, watching our Daddy build a snowman outside the window. It snowed (rare for Louisiana) but we were too sick to go outside. So my earliest memory is of my Daddy’s love.
