The Monday Minute: What’s on your plate this week?

mondayminute.jpg

Welcome back to the Monday Minute, in which I strive to get back to a regular posting schedule. Things have been a little hectic around the Miller household for the last few weeks, but we’re settling down into a summer routine. Joy’s mom is doing well in her recovery from heart surgery, and was released over the weekend.

Two weeks ago saw the start of our annual music camp, and last night we began our Vacation Bible School. Now, you might think that this means another very busy week, but not exactly. My wife is the director of VBS, and so she does not teach any classes as with music camp. She makes herself available to make command decisions and put out any “fires” that might flare up. So, once the week starts, the major bulk of her work and planning has already occurred. As for me, my only responsibilities are making sure all media are set up and running properly, and operating said media at the opening and closing sessions. Pretty easy stuff.

Other than my usual planning for Sunday, the only thing I’ve got on my plate out of the ordinary is to plane and set-up a frisbee golf course on the church grounds for our July 4 fest (which actually will take place on Sun. evening July 6).

What have you got going this week? Anybody else doing VBS or some special summer activity?
