I know, I know, I’m a day late with my confessional. I can feel myself working out of the blogging funk, but I think I need a few more days.
We had a good day at New Hope, or at least I did. I personally had one of those experiences that while I was on stage singing, I wasn’t aware of anything going on around me be worship. The building could have been burning down for all I know.
We had a new guitarist join us Sunday, and I though she did a great job for her first public appearance. I’m looking forward to what she’ll be able to add to our sound in future.
The choir sang “Glorious” by Chris Tomlin, and they did a fantastic job. I couldn’t be more pleased about their effort, not just musically, but in the numbers that showed up to sing. I love having voices behind me as we sing congregationally.
We also had a great treat as we heard a duet from a father/son duo. I wish we could have heard more from them in the past. The son is leaving for basic training this week, so who knows when we’ll see him again. They sang “You Are God Alone” by PCD. All in all, a great day. Here’s the list.
- Worthy of Worship // Terry York, Mark Blankenship
- How Great Thou Art // Stuart K. Hine
- How Great is Our God // Tomlin, Reeves, Cash
- Worthy, You Are Worthy // Matt Redman
This is also a part of Sunday Setlists at Fred McKinnon [dot] com.
