I want to take some time and highlight my wife’s blogging and design efforts. We recently switched her WordPress.com blog over to self hosting, and she’s been furiously at work getting her new digs set up at FiveJs.com. Even if you’re not into the “mommy blogging” scene, it would be great if you stopped by and said hello. You can also follow her on Twitter.
One of the coolest things about my wife is her designing eye. I can take a little (very little) credit for introducing her to things like PhotoShop/Illustrator/InDesign, and blogging and twittering. What I can’t take any credit for is the fact that she rocks at all of them, and is nearly entirely self-taught. (She’s a really great amateur photog as well.)
One of the things she’s been asked to do a few times now is to design masthead graphics and buttons for other’s blogs. Here’s a sampling of some of the things she’s created. Click any of the graphics below to visit the corresponding blog.
On many of these sites, most, it not all, of the custom graphics (buttons/banners/etc) were created by my wife.
