Things have been a little hectic around the Miller household for the last few weeks, but we're settling down into a summer routine. According to my glance at my stats—as of this writing—there are 110 feed subscribers, a handful of email subscribers, and an average of daily hit count between 160-180. Who are you? For some, this is a no-brainer, but for anyone who might wonder why I'm so sold on blogging, social networking, and twittering, here are just a few of my reasons. 1. The group of blogs in my feed reader (which seems to grow weekly) is like having a live, intuitive internet filter. I just don't have the time—nor the interest I once had—in ceaselessly browsing the internet for news and other cool tidbits. Alright, I did something like this the other day when Bobby posted up his iTunes top 25, and so I thought I would do it for my last.fm top 25. Keep in mind when viewing this, these are the total plays for two separate iMacs (office and home), three separate iPods, and the MacBook we use on Sunday mornings for our pre-service mix. I had a whirlwind of a weekend. You know how you can schedule things weeks to months in advance, not realizing there will be a convergence? That's exactly what happened to me. Months ago I scheduled our yearly music retreat, and had to take this last weekend because of conference space availability. A few weeks ago, we scheduled our first ever ministry fair. I was driving down the highway this morning, singing Crowder's The Glory of It All at the top of my lungs, when I recalled a couple of similar yet disparate occasions in my past.
