I've got more Twitter conversation to bring you. I'm loving how my circle of tweets continues to be a group I interact with and share prayers, ideas, encouragement and questions. Like many of you, I was completely taken in Friday night by the spectacle that was the opening ceremonies of the XXIX Olympiad in Beijing, China. The fireworks were breathtaking, the choreography and synchronicity were stellar, and the music was beautiful, haunting, and perfectly appropriate for the event. A word to companies out there who are wondering how to improve customer service. I Twittered this earlier today: A little while later I receive this reply: This garnered my response: So, I'm now giving TweetDeck another try in conjunction with Spaces on my MacBook. That's the way customer service should be handled. Kind of like Anne's recent experience with Whole Foods. If TweetDeck works for me, they have likely just made me a longtime user.

I'm reading through Six Prayers God Always Answers by Herringshow and Schuchmann—which I'll be reviewing in the next few days— and I ran across the following statement. "Desperation forces us to overcome our inhibitions—we have nothing to lose." Granted, this quote from the book is in relation to a prayer for desperate needs, but it got me thinking in a worship context. What would truly being desperate to know God look like?
