06.02.08Worship Confessional: June 1, 2008Bring on the Summer heat! June 1, and we're already in the mid 90s here in North Texas. Combine beautiful, hot, sunny weather with school being out for summer and you know what that means. Everybody who can gets out of town. Funny thing yesterday was when we started the first song, the auditorium was very sparse, but before the end of the second song there were twice as many people. 05.28.08last.fm Top 25Alright, I did something like this the other day when Bobby posted up his iTunes top 25, and so I thought I would do it for my last.fm top 25. Keep in mind when viewing this, these are the total plays for two separate iMacs (office and home), three separate iPods, and the MacBook we use on Sunday mornings for our pre-service mix. 03.31.08Worship Confessional: March 30, 2008Well, after last week's near-death feeling while conducting the choir, I felt bright and springy yesterday. Attendance was a little low, but we had many of our visitors from Easter and the previous weeks return for another look. It looks like there's another influx as usually happens in the Spring. Some of the visitors I saw were definitely unashamed worshipers, and that made me put all that much more heart into the leading. 02.04.08Worship Confessional: February 3, 2008Well, I made my public debut yesterday on the mandolin. It was an interesting experience. Do you ever have one of those days where everything is going fine, just the way you planned, but you still feel off? Yesterday was one of those days. During sound check, things were going just fine, but we discussed it at the end and came to the conclusion that we just were not gelling as a band.
