My retirement plan Music, Worship | (2)
Just so everyone knows, my super-dooper plan for funding my retirement basically involves my children forming an awesome family rock band and making lots of cash. Well, maybe that won't work out for me, but we've got a good start. Here are my girls singing their hearts out at church today. Now if we can just get my guitar playing son to step up onto a stage.

We're one-third of the way through our iLife series, and what a good time it's been. We had a good time in worship yesterday, which included our second week in a row of baptisms. What a blessing to see new believers take their first steps of obedience. Yesterday's music was a good blend of musical styles that I think really helped the widest range of worship participation in our congregation that I've seen in a while. Some days it just "clicks." Worship Confessional: January 27, 2008 Music, Worship, Worship Confessionals | (1)
Good day musically yesterday. The reconstituted band is cruising along, and I feel we are solidly on the road toward some really good sounds. Thursday's rehearsal went well, but we were down quite a few singers and my wife on keys because of various things, mainly some kind of stomach flu-type illness floating around. We got through rehearsal pretty well, our only problem seemed to be consistently getting the rhythm of Charlie Hall's arrangement of The Solid Rock.
